Message from the Hotspots Team

Welcome to the October 2015 edition of the Hotspots News Online.

This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Hotspots program. Since 2005, Hotspots has run more than 150 workshops for almost 1,900 landholders, which have resulted in 888 fire management plans covering more than 201,000 hectares. Thank you to each of you who have contributed to these outstanding achievements and to our growing network.

In this edition there is information about new resources to assist landholders and land managers with fire management, the workshop program across the state, and some of the interesting follow-up activities taking place in Hotspots workshop areas.

To find out about workshop series planned for 2016, and to register your interest in attending, click on the link provided in the Hotspots workshop activity article below.

As always, the Hotspots team would like to hear from you, so please forward your feedback.

Kind regards,

The Hotspots Team
